Superyachts.com describes Tim as follows: Tim Heywood, the multi award-winning yacht designer, has produced some of the finest and largest yachts on the water. Among his exceptional designs is the stunning 133m Al Mirqab, which was awarded the coveted ‘Motor Yacht of the Year’ at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards. With an interest in all fields of industrial design, it was when introduced to celebrated yacht designer Jon Bannenberg that Tim realised all of these interests could fuse into one career. After graduating from the Central School of Art and Design, Tim worked with Jon Bannenberg for over twenty years before opening his own studio with his partner Vanessa in 1996. Tim’s creations are now drawn from his design studio in Rutland, with the support of Vanessa. Tim Heywood works closely with his clients to turn their wishes into a reality, overseeing every detail. His impressive portfolio of some the largest yachts in the world includes the elegant 115m Pelorus. Perhaps the most important yacht in his career to date, she was voted by industry peers to be one of the most beautiful yachts to have ever graced the water.
